Day 1: Queen Alia International Airport – Amman
Arrival at Queen Alia International Airport, complete formalities and then head directly to your hotel in Amman for some rest. Dinner & Overnight in Amman. (D)
Day 2: Amman – Madaba – Mt. Nebo – Swim & Lunch at the Dead Sea – Petra
After breakfast, we will head towards Madaba city Best known for its spectacular Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics, Madaba is home to the famous 6th century Mosaic Map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land. Proceed to visit Mt. Nebo (site only as the church is closed down for renovation). Mt. Nebo is mentioned in the Bible as the place where Moses was granted a view of the Promised Land that he would never enter. The view from the summit provides a panorama of the Holy Land and, to the north, a more limited one of the valley of the River Jordan. Later we got for the Dead Sea where main attraction is of course the soothing, abnormally salty water itself! The salt content of the water is 31.5% making the water so buoyant that it is impossible for the visitor to sink. Enjoy lunch at the main restaurant at the Warwick Dead Sea Resort! Upon completion, head to Petra via desert way. Overnight in Petra (BD)
Day 3: Petra – Full day Petra visit – Petra
After breakfast, explore the Nabatean Red Rose city of Petra via desert way on a full day tour. Petra is one of the 7 World Wonders, and is also a UNESCO World Heritage site! The Treasury at Petra is a massive façade, 30m wide and 43m high, carved out of the sheer, dusky pink, rock-face and dwarfing everything around it. There are hundreds of elaborate rock-cut tombs with intricate carvings - unlike the houses, which were destroyed mostly by earthquakes, the tombs were carved to last throughout the afterlife and 500 have survived, empty but bewitching as you file past their dark openings. Day 4: Petra – 2nd visit of Petra – Wadi Rum
Today you can explore Petra on your own (no guiding services included). Upon completion, transfer to Wadi Rum for the night.Dinner & overnight in Wadi Rum (BD)
Day 5: Wadi Rum - Wadi Rum Jeep ride - Free day in Aqaba at leisure – Aqaba
After breakfast, explore the moon like landscape Wadi Rum on a 1.30 hour jeep ride. This desert is dotted with massive mountains, colored in shades of red, yellow, and orange. The Eco-system id Wadi Rum (AKA Valley of the Moon) holds many rare and endemic plants. Spring reveals hundreds of species of wild flowers. About 120 bird species have been recorded in the area, including the Griffon Vulture, the Fan-Tailed Raven, Bonellis Eagle and Humes Tawmy Owl. Overnight in Aqaba (BD)
Day 6: Free day at leisure in Aqaba
Today you enjoy a free day at leisure in the sole gulf city in Jordan! Greatly prized as Jordans window to the sea, Aqaba brings are fleshing release from the rose-colored desert to the north. Its sandy beaches and coral reefs are the most pristine on the Red Sea, and Jordanians continuously work hard to preserve it as such. Indigo-colored deep water lies just off shore in Aqaba, offering kaleidoscopic marine life within easy reach.Exploring means a leisurely drive to a private spot and a short swim out to there of. Unusual vertical currents and sea breezes make diving cool and pleasant,even in the heat of the summer. Overnight in Aqaba (BD)
Day 7: Aqaba – Amman
A.M free at leisure and in the afternoon transfer to Amman via desert way where you can spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Amman (BD)
Day 8: Amman - Queen Alia International Airport
