Day 1: Arrive Delhi and Delhi to Manali by Volvo coach
Arrive Delhi and reach Plan Journey’s departure point and be welcomed by our tour guide who shows you to your seat for the overnight trip on the waiting Volvo coach. Settle down and prepare for the night journey to Manali.
Day 2: Manali arrival and local trips
The Volvo rolls into Manali around 9 AM. You alight and are transferred to your hotel where you freshen up. After that it is time to take in local attractions. There is plenty to see here. Start with the famously popular Hadimba Temple built in 1553 and known for its beautiful carvings. From here we go on to the Manu Temple,one of the very few in India and then move to Vashishth, a magical place with its hot springs and a temple to Lord Rama and Sage Vashishth. On the way back to the hotel we stop at the Brigu Lake.A short drive takes you to Tibetan Monasteries where you get a glimpse into the life of Lamas and then we move on to Jagatsukh for a visit to the temple of Lord Shiva. Time permitting we have a brief tour of the Pin Valley National Park where you might get a glimpse of SiberianIbex and snow leopards. Return to your hotel for some rest and set out in the late evening to explore Manali’s street life.
Day 3: Rohtang Passexcursion
Breakfast on a North Indian offering and set out for Rohtang Pass and Solang Valley.The view is magnificent, craggy and untouched as you navigate steeply winding roads to the highest pass in India.On the way we stop at Nehru Kund, a scenic spot with a lovely view of a deepgorge through which the Beas river roars. The drive also brings you to Rahalla Falls at a height of 2500 metres. Solang, is less wild and more picturesque with its picnic spots, ski slopes and beautiful alpine scenery. Return to Manali for the overnight stay.
Day 4: Manali on your own
Breakfast and set out to explore Manali on your own. You can just wander through the streets, dine in cafes, board sight-seeing tours or relax in the Club House. There is plenty to do in Manalias you will find and an excursion to Manali Sanctuary would be just the thingto do for today. You can just as well go to the Pandoh Dam. Shop for local handicrafts and woolens and return to your room for the night.
Day 5: Manali to Delhi
Breakfast, pack your bags, checkout and spend the morning to take in the charms of this beautiful hill resort of Himachal. Your Volvo leaves at 4 PM so get ready for the overnight return journey after a deeply satisfying and totally refreshing tour of Manali. The tour ends here.
