Day 1 : Srinagar
Fly in to Srinagar where our tour guide welcomes you. You are taken to a lovely houseboat which is part of the Srinagar Hotel Package from Plan Journeys. Settle in, admire the placid waters of the lake. Then freshen up and get set for a shikara ride that takes you across the Dal to view the Char Chinars. The shikara then floats lazily past the floating gardens, past canals and other houseboats, stopping in the middle for a while for you to imbue yourself with the serenity of the atmosphere. Day 2: Srinagar to Gulmarg
Rise, sit by the railing, enjoy a breakfast and then get ready to drive to Gulmarg, a drive of 2 hours across 60 kilometres of ineffable beauty. Gulmarg is the pride of Kashmir, picture postcard perfect as far as scenery is concerned. Gulmarg also boasts of skiing and golfing but today we go on a cable car ride that takes you all the way to Khilan. You have just completed the most important part of your Srinagar holiday and return to your hotel in Gulmarg for rest.
Day 3: Gulmarg to Srinagar
Breakfast while you admire the lovely view and, with a sigh,board the coach for the return trip to Srinagar where you check into your houseboat or into a hotel if you like. The day is free for you to do as you like. Enhance your Srinagar vacation with an evening walk by the Lake, pop into shops, try out eateries and do not forget to walk in the famous Mogul Gardens, the Shalimar Baugh and the Nishat Baugh. Day 4: Departure
