Day 01: Delhi- Srinagar
Arrive at Srinagar and be greeted by our Plan Journeys tour representative. Transfer to hotel or houseboat for freshening up and for somerest. At afternoon we set out for an enjoyable Shikara sail on Dal lake, the main attraction of the Srinagar city. Once you sail on the Dal, the unique life that quietly flows on this emerald lake will indeed intrigue you out of your senses. It is a great fun to watch the veggie and flower laden shikaras returning home at the end of the day after making business. Also, it is indeed fun to watch the many vendors and sellers that keep calling out to you from the near-by shikaras or the shops on houseboats to get their tit-bits sold off
Day 02 : Srinagar-Gulmarg-Gondola Ride to Khilanmarg
Next day, post breakfast we set out for Gulmarg, the beautiful floral meadow of breathtaking scenic beauty. The most joyful part of Gulmarg visit is the Gondola ride; i.e. a cable car ride that transports you from Gulmarg to Khilanmarg and back to Gulmarg. While traveling via rope-way, you experience great thrill and can get exquisite glimpses of the panaramic views of snow-capped peaks and green valleys around. Back to Srinagar and night stay at hotel/houseboat.
Day 03 : Srinagar-Sonamarg
After breakfast, we travel to Sonamarg which is famed for its Thajiwas Glacier. Hire a pony to take you to the glacier point where you can have a great fun time skiing, photographing some memorable pictures of snow clad stretches and playing with snow balls. Back to srinagar, night stay at hotel/houseboat
Day 04 : Srinagar Garden Tour
Next day after breakfast we set out for visiting some of the most famous gardens Srinagar has. Tulip Gardens, Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, Chashm-e-shahi are the ones and the floral bounty there in would invariably make you feel that you have entered the Mughal era. This feel of royalty is indeed something quite joyful!
Day 05 : Srinagar-Pahalgam for fun fishing
On day 5th, after breakfast, we hit the road for the Shepherds hamlet, Pahalgam. The exceptional scenic beauty of Pahalgam pulls tourists to this place from far and wide. If you want to have some real fun, you can sit by the Lidder river and catch trouts out there. Avantipur temple, Kolahoi glacier point will be covered on sightseeing.
Day 06 : Srinagar Shopping & departure
Next day, early morning we return to Srinagar, visit the local shopping emporiums to indulge in some fun shopping. Collect souvenirs in the form of Kashmiri carpets, Pashmina shawls, wooden crafts etc and then you are transferred straight to the airport/rail station where our representative sees you off and you depart for your journey back home.
